Because they have so many regulars and such a long history that they don't feel the need to post menus. That is obviously just my opinion.
really good regular coffee
Had the small portion of sausage gravy and biscuits. SO good and very generous. Nice wait staff.
What a great little breakfast place. Great home town cooking, friendly staff.
Great food, amazing service! Amber and Ella are great servers 🤗
Yes it is a homey place. In a good way. I had the opportunity to sit at the counter with "the regulars". Thoroughly enjoyable. I was included in the discussions about the newest local news. Like have you been down the new 8th street yet? And so on. Very good coffee, the eggs were done just as I like them, toast was like homemade, I enjoyed the homefries, they tasted like grilled potatoes. Servers were friendly and kept my coffee full. Even took the time to introduce the newest member of the staff. Great signage throughout and a backwards clock.
I was here a while ago and was not pleased. I have not been and will not go back. There were ants crawling all over the wall and our table, the french toast I ordered was soggy. It just wasn't a great experience.
Excellent little place. Everyone at our table of four had Toni's Breakfast and it was well worth are wait, which wasn't too bad for a Sunday morning. The waitress for very nice. Would definitely return.
My favorite restaurant in Traverse. I absolutely love the raspberry french toast. Great, friendly staff
Wonderful home cooking no frozen and microwaved here.
Honestly one of the best breakfast restaurants I have been to in a long time. It's a small mom and pop place that is very welcoming. Service is great and the food is amazing. You won't be disappointed if you stop here.
Food was okay. Kind of pricey for portions.
I wish i took a picture of breakfast but it was amazing!! And the staff is exactly what you would expect at a small hometown diner! Amazingly friendly and made me and my family feel like regulars!
Love everything. Definitely their pancakes and jelly. Just 1 star off for their hasbrowns? American fries? Soggy starch? It's on if those.
Great local, simple breakfast /lunch place. Service was awesome, Kelsey took great care of us.
I highly enjoyed Round's and recommend it for a reasonably priced, delicious breakfast. I was there right at opening and the waitress was incredibly nice and quick with my order. I appreciate that she left me a mug of coffee and a carafe, so I didn't wait for a refill. My order of biscuits and gravy, two eggs, home fries, and toast was delivered quickly and hot. The homemade toast was excellent as well as the biscuits and gravy. I was given the option to replace the toast with an extra biscuit.Regulars started rolling in and were treated like family. That said, I was never ignored in favor of the regulars. The waitress balanced her work with chatting perfectly well. The atmosphere is small town, greasy spoon (and I say that with zero bad intention). I will definitely stop here again when I'm going through Traverse City. I'm excited to try their lunch options.
Great place to eat. Home made corned beef hash, the best.
Cute place.. Great food and great service
Great food, good size portions, I couldn't eat it all.
Stopped here for breakfast and had a basic meal of eggs, sausage, and toast. The sausage was excellent as was the homemade wheat toast which was served with real butter on it. Jelly and marmalade is served in cups, not packets. Great service. Popular with the locals. Would give 6 stars of I could!
Fun place for breakfast. Has the old diner feel and the staff is super nice and friendly. Don't expect to find anything super fancy though on the menu. This is pretty much an eggs and pancakes place where the coffee is black, but plentiful. Good value though for your money and it is always a fun atmosphere.
A true old school Traverse City joint. Inexpensive and delicous American diner fare. I gave the Tuedsay special of Corned Beef and Cabbage a go. Served with mashed potatos and gravy. Perfect comfort food on a cold and snowy spring day. Check out the backwards clock behind the counter. They had a homemade apple pie that I only just mananged to resist.
Ordered French toast. Got back to my hotel and there is no syrup for the French toast. Make sure to check your to go order before you leave because they don’t.
I was visiting the Traverse City area from down state and wanted to enjoy a nice breakfast with a local diner experience. I knew the moment I walked into Rounds I had made a smart decision. The place was packed. All of the happy guests, busy waitresses and cooks made for a lively atmosphere that I craved. I also craved a large quality breakfast, which I received for a reasonable price. My waitress was genuine and kind. It was an all around great experience and I would recommend it to everyone.
GREAT service, friendly, felt like I was at a family members house for breakfast. Food was home cooked and VERY good. Homemade toast and jellies were awesome!
Just moved to TC a few months ago and I’ve always wanted to try this place. It was amazing and I can’t wait to go back for more! Busy but well worth the wait.
Worst Lunch my wife and I ever had. Mexican food was bad. We will never go here again.
They take breakfast to another level- the level of an artform. Where other places you nearly get bacon and eggs, perhaps toast, at Rounds you can get their house-made corned beef hash, with large, lean pieces of meat with fresh cooked potatoes scrambled on- it is delicious. But my favourite breakfast is "the Toni" [I think] which has a cheese, potato and onion casserole topped with your course of egg and ham, although I recommend the upcharge for bacon instead... you get toast or pancakes with it and its just as delicious as their corned beef, and you'll be taking some home for lunch as well! Enjoy!
Very good and certainly round, 10/10
Great breakfast, great service
This is the first restaurant I've gone out to since the stay-at-home order has been lifted. Guests were wearing masks while walking through the restaurant to their tables. Tables were disinfected between guests. Certain tables are also blocked off to maintain proper social distancing. The food: classic diner fare is a momentary but welcome comfort in times like these. Wear a mask!
Super friendly staff, great-tasting food at very fair prices. Small hometown restaurant. If you have time, sit by the bar area and listen to the regulars talk about "back in the day". Breakfast and entertainment.
Fantastic breakfast. Service was with a smile. Very laid back and enjoyable. You can tell it is a friendly place, because 2 of the tables chatted with us. My corn beef hash was great. Eggs were perfect. The pancakes were the best I ever had!
Super great food and great service. Would recommend to anyone in Traverse City that wants a classic diner experience for breakfast. Have yet to try the lunch menu. The Hot Chocolate is incredible.
Great breakfast! Small but very quaint restaurant for those looking for great comfort food!
This was my favorite restaurant when I lived in traverse and is now a staple of my Michifan journeys. Amazing food/coffee, great prices, wonderful selection, and a great staff. They recently changed up their decor, and though I miss the backwards clock, it forsake it seem a little less buys (art wise).
Been eating at Round's since I was 18 yrs old & worked at a business on 8th & Garfield. I am 80 yrs old now. It's just good down home cooking with friendly staff.
Wonderful little home town restaurant. It's a step back in time when the servers are kind, actually attentive, and great atmosphere. The coffee is great and the hash is my favorite. Omlettes and pancakes amazing. All the food is delicious 👌
First, I recommend Tony’s Breakfast. It’s a plate of potato cheese casserole, slice of ham on top and on top of that, 2 eggs how you like them, toast (many kinds of different toast) or pancakes. It was all fresh and cooked to order and delicious.Secondly, I sat at the counter and noticed how clean this place is! What a pleasure to have delicious food and in a very clean atmosphere. The place kinda takes me back to the way diners looked like and how conscientious the staff was, but still is at Rounds! If you haven’t been, you gotta go!
A quaint restaurant with great food and service. You can get breakfast all day but remember that they open up at 5 AM and close at either 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Enjoy! Limited seating due to the coronavirus.
Good food and good service.
Good service making food Great.
We found this to be a cozy and charming place to have breakfast. There is a back room with a round booth which was perfect for our group of six. A $5 breakfast special ensure that it did not cost a small fortune for our group to eat out.Eggs, hash browns, pancakes, and toast were all up to diner standards. The coffee was a little bit above diner standards. It was served in small mugs that kept coffee hot, and a pot was provided for refills. It was a nice throwback to see ketchup in bottles, fresh cream in a server, and jellies not in plastic containers.Service was efficient and friendly.
Great breakfast on a quiet Thursday am. Red velvet hash was Delicious! French toast looked great along with eggs & sausage! Highly recommend!
My favorite place for breakfast in TC! Love the classic diner feel. The waitstaff is always on it. Those girls know what they are doing! Love the homemade red velvet corn beef hash and the eggs benedict. I always have to choose between those two and it's hard to pick a favorite! And the coffee is good and strong, not watery like a lot of other breakfast places.
I really wasn't pleased. My meal wasn't accurate but the cocoa was great. A lil pricey again I wasn't impressed.. sorry!!
Very cute homey feeling small town restaurant! Homemade cinnamon roll was not something I would get again, nor the biscuits and gravy. Omelet and wheat toast were great!
Great service and even better food
Great food!
Great food. Very nice people.
Enjoyed a wonderful beakfast with a couple of friends. My omlette was cooked properly and they homemade bread was absolutely delectable. I appreciated the honey atmosphere and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. I would recommend this place for breakfast and would be happy to stop here again!
Food was great! Service was excellent. A little pricey for breakfast but service made up for it.
